[Sticky] FrSky G-RX8 Receiver

FrSky have a new generation 8 Channel receiver specific for glider use. With built in variometer sensor, this will give you telemetry data like altitude and vertical speed. The G-RX8 supports the redundancy function as well, this means you can add on another receiver to create a backup for added security. It also supports SBUS and PWM mode, and you can switch between the two very easily.

cannot get the vario tones out of this rx or the GR8 - getting data, as I can get altitude readings but the variometer section in the telemetry menu is void.

Latest firmware all round, tx and rx. Everything else seems to be fine, just cannot get my depressing sink tones... 🙂

 

Any thoughts welcome.

You need to turn the vario on in the Special function section, I think.

thanks Barry, turns out I had to go into the sensor detection menu and select the altitude value, activated the vario there.

Still nothing showing in the vario section of devices though. Odd. Vario tones now so happy 🙂
