R9MX will not work after FW 1.3.2 Update.
My R9MX is normally set as redundancy to my SR6 so I powered the R9 directly and did an OTA update to FW 1.3.2, after it said Success I restarted the system as normal powering the R9 from the SR6 but the R9 stayed red, and would not rebind, so I powered it separately again and tried to REGISTER it but no it will not connect. I have now cut the SBUS wire, which was going to the SR6 and added it to the power wires and plugged into the top of the X20S to flash it again but the TX does not seem to power the R9, please can someone advise where I'm going wrong, does the port on the TX need to be switched on?
Many Thanks

hi trev
first of all the 1.3.2 is the version firmware that is on the R9MX from production there isnt an further updates.
also after the flash you shouldnt have needed to rebind the receiver and if you have already got it registered on a specific receiver number and you have tried to bind it to another number that maybe the problem as the receiver number your trying to test it with maybe not the number its already bound on?
If flashing any RX via the S.Port socket on the radio, it will not power up the RX until the flashing process is started.
Hi Rich,
Regarding FW when I looked on the X20 devices, it said the R9MX FW 1.3.1 I then looked in their site and it said 1.3.2 was available so in an effort to keep the system tip top I decided to update it, now much to my regret.
Now what you have written would appear to be spot on, I reconnected the R9 went to FW folder clicked the Internal update, the Receiver light come on red, the update line appeared on the X20, then after a few seconds it said device not responding.
I was not trying to to bind or Register it under another model number, I was hoping it would just be an OTA quick update, I only tried the bind/Register as the X20 could no longer see that receiver. it looks like the FW 1.3.1 is not available now only 1.3.2.
Any ideas what I can try now,
Thanks for you help and advice
Trev.
From last Post
Internal update---I meant Flash External
All working again, updating from the port on the TX worked. I was being stupid, I think Old Gazer who said in a post, "S- not S-Bus-port", but I didn't twig until this morning what he meant, as soon as I connected a wire to the S-Port and not S-Bus the flash worked, thanks Old Gazer, I will buy u a pint if I ever meet you in the pub.
Thanks for everyone's help
Feeling really stupid.

hi trev
glad your sorted but odd that the x20 showed 1.3.1 as 1.3.2 is the release version firmware meaning its the first developed firmware, ill have look into that
